The regular scheduled meeting of the Leslie Township Board of Trustees
was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by Supervisor Henney in the Leslie Township
Board Room. Henney led the Board and Guests in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes of the August 10, 2011 meeting were approved with no corrections.
The Treasurers report shows an August 31, 2010 balance in the General Fund of $205,655.63, balance in the Public Improvement Fund of $199,572.11 and balance in the Millage Accounts of $39,091.26.

Vickers reported some vandalism has been occurring at the cemetery recently.
No fire department report.
No building department report.
Calhoun reported on two small claims cases and said the township attorney is preparing to file an injunction on a property owner that is hosting mud bogging gatherings.
Henney reported that, along with Calhoun and Feazel, he attended a productive joint master plan meeting along with city representatives on September 13, 2011. The grant that was paying for a planner to facilitate the meetings has been exhausted and an additional meeting is needed to finish the process of formulating a plan to begin working on a community joint master plan. Motion Pallottini, support Vickers to allow $500. for that purpose. Roll call vote, all ayes, motion carried.
Motion Wade, support Vickers to approve the Leslie Township Planning Commission recommendation to amend the Leslie Township Zoning Ordinance Section 5.1.4 (scope of regulations) to add the following verbiage: "No land use or activity is permitted in Leslie Township which is in violation of local, state or federal law." Roll call vote. Ayes: Wade, Vickers and Feazel. Noes: Henney and Pallottini. Motion caried.
Feazel reported planning for the upcoming 175th celebration is going
well. Booklets that feature all the activities were distributed.
The celebration will be held September
23rd - 25th.
Henney reported fall clean-up day is scheduled for October 8, 2011.
Henney reported that an outdoor warning siren is coming to the fire department building and it is a done deal. No action is needed by our board.
Motion Pallottini, support Vickers to allow Henney to sign an application for a fireworks display permit for September 23, 2011 following the Leslie High School football game.
Based on current budgetary issues the annual Tri-County Metro Narcotics billing will again not be paid.
Correspondence was received from Delhi Township regarding our annual billing for the Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad and a thank you note from the Eldred Family.
During board comment Pallottini complimented the Ingham County Road Commission on their recent road work in Leslie Township.
