The regular scheduled meeting of the Leslie Township Board of Trustees was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by Supervisor Henney in the Leslie Township Board Room.  Henney led the Board and Guests in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Minutes of the September 14, 2011 meeting were approved as presented.

The Treasurers report shows a September 30, 2011 balance in the General Fund of $249,640.13, balance in the Public Improvement Fund of $175,245.42 and balance in the Millage Accounts of $39,091.26.

Motion Vickers support Feazel to pay the following bills:

Calhoun reported the planning commission meets next the first Wednesday in November.

Symonds reported four (4) inspections for the month.
 
Haddrill went over the 2010-2011 audit report.  He reported that the books were in good shape and that he didn't have any recommendations for changes at this time.

Representatives from the Ingham County Drain Commission reported on the upcoming Onondaga Drain project.

Vickers reported the cemetery board meets next week.

Henney reported the fire department was very active during the 175th.

Feazel reported the 175th went extremely well.  Great weather, great participation and all positive comments.

Motion Wade, support Vickers to contribute up to $150. for the community Halloween party.  Roll call vote.  Ayes: Wade, Vickers, Henney & Feazel.  Absent: Pallottini.  Motion carried.

Feazel reported the appointment of the following election inspectors for the November 08, 2011 election by the Leslie Township Election Commission: Deb Parmelee, co-chair (republican party), Vicky Jacobs, co-chair (democratic party), Sheryl Hemstreet (democratic party - ½ day), Glen Lewis (democratic party - ½ day), Pat Lewis (republican party - ½ day), Megan Casper (republican party - ½ day), Fonda Kannawin (democratic party - ½ day), William Allender (republican party - ½ day).

Correspondence was received from Ingham Intermediate School District regarding an upcoming program, the Department of Transportation with an invitation to the annual traffic summit, Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regarding the National Flood Insurance Program, Ingham County Chapter of the Michigan Townships Association regarding an upcoming meeting and Leslie Public Schools regarding the 175th celebration.
